
SCONES
2 cups flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup milk or 1/2 & 1/2
1 egg beaten w/ 1 Tbsp. reserved for glaze
Combine dry ingredients with
butter. Whisk liquid ingredients (reserve 1Tbsp of egg) and add to dry
ingredients. Knead slightly to combine. Divide dough in half.
Make a round pattie with each half and cut each pattie into 6 wedges.
Brush tops with reserved beaten egg and bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes (or
until golden brown).
