HERBAL ANTIBIOTIC BROTH

Try this broth at the first sign of a sore throat or sinus infection . . . . .

2 cups water
2 scallions, coarsely chopped, with roots
4 garlic cloves, peeled
4 slices ginger root

Boil, covered,  for 2 minutes.  Steep for 2 minutes.  Strain and drink.  Do this twice daily until symptoms are gone.  Best when fresh, but you can make a double batch and carry it in a thermos to sip throughout the day.

For a sore or scratchy throat, try gargling with this mixture after it has cooled sufficiently.

This recipe tastes like a weak Chinese soup broth.  If you prefer a stronger flavor, add a bouillon cube or two.
